The role embodied in atomic ash:
1. High filling efficiency, low oil absorption, low density, adding 4-15% (wt) can increase the product volume by 30-40%.
Thus, the unit volume cost of coatings is not increased or even reduced.
2. Hollow glass microspheres are sealed hollow spheres. Many micro-grooves are formed when they are added to the surface of atomic ash coating.
High surface roughness is beneficial to sandpaper grinding.
3. Make the coating have better waterproof, anti-fouling and anti-corrosion performance. The chemical inert surface of hollow glass beads resists chemical corrosion. When it is used as film, the micro-beads are arranged tightly and form a low porosity, which makes the surface of the coating form a protective film which can block moisture and corrosive ions, thus playing a very good protective role.
4. The spherical structure of hollow glass microspheres has a good dispersing effect on impact force and stress, which is added to atomic ash.
It can improve the impact resistance of the coating and reduce the stress cracking caused by thermal expansion and contraction.
5. Better whitening effect. White powder has better whitening effect than ordinary pigments and can effectively reduce its whitening effect.
The volume cost of hollow glass beads is only about 1/4 of that of titanium dioxide.
